Ron was born in Norman, Oklahoma. He received his bachelor’s from the University of Oklahoma in 1980 and his law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1983. Ron Brown has twenty-five years of experience planning and implementing estate plans for large and small estates alike. He is often called upon to represent the interests of personal representatives, guardians, trustees and beneficiaries in various types of litigation involving probate estates, trust administration and guardianship.
Ron’s civil litigation experience includes representation of clients in matters involving commercial transactions, business disputes, mergers and acquisitions, closely held corporations, breaches of fiduciary duty, insurance, contracts, real estate, foreclosures, franchisor and franchisee relationships, and employment issues.
Ron has assisted plaintiff’s attorneys since 1999 in evaluating settlement options for personal injury plaintiffs, designing and implementing structured settlements when appropriate, preparing or reviewing the necessary settlement documents, including the settlement agreement and release, the qualified assignment and any pleadings necessary to authorize the settlement through the guardianship or probate court.
Ron is a member of the Oklahoma, American, and Oklahoma County Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the United States Districts Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma as well as before the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.
Ron is actively involved in the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is a member of the Board of Directors and currently serves as Treasurer.
