Our clients typically consider wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, advance directives for health care, including living wills and/or health care proxies, and other documents and planning techniques in order to create a plan which addresses the various objectives and needs of their families. Specific areas may include “Q-TIP” or Qualified Terminable Interest Property trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, planning in relation to the generation skipping transfer tax, charitable gifting, irrevocable trusts, including “Crummey” trusts for children or special needs trusts for the benefit of handicapped or incapacitated individuals.
